Freeing the slaves
Moving through the brush, and the trees. Some are barefoot, some have worn-down shoes. Make it to the rocks, where the water falls in Niagara. Start cheering with the others, one is crying. Start to sing, about Moses. Completely free now, nothing to worry about. |
I made this poem about Harriet Tubman taking six slaves on the Underground Railroad. On this journey, she took the six slaves to Canada. This was her longest and most dangerous journey.
